Sometimes a Romance Writer Just Has to Indulge in...Writing About Romance

When we were writing The Wedding Planners, we tried to focus on romance, weddings, anything like that, so for a long time (not sure how long we kept that blog up to date but it was at least a year), all my blog posts dealt with romance. Here, however, I very seldom post anything having to do with romance, and now and then, I miss that. So here, just for the heck of it, is a post that features...kisses.

Here's the famous kissing scene from Notorious, starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. It's known as "the longest kiss in the history of the movies," but it's not a single kiss. Because the production code wouldn't allow kisses that lasted longer than 3 seconds, Alfred Hitchcock had them conducting a bit of a run-on kiss, talking, moving about, answering the phone and never leaving each other's arms.
