So That's What Happens to Those Lost Socks...

This short, multi-award-winning video by Carlo VOGELE was a graduation film. The story (a sock escapes to go clubbing) made me smile.

I know exactly what happens to lost socks. I lost a favourite stripey sock & then about a month later I found it down the road from our house, on the other side of the park. We have a problem with birds. I also lost a pot holder I had knitted. I can see it lining a nest somewhere. The birds attack the pegs & jump on my clean wash.

Mary, I'm so sorry, but that's also hilarious. Those birds! We had sort of the same problem at Halloween. My husband likes to make projects out of pumpkins and/or gourds, and he made these 3 cute little birds out of gourds (drawn on eyes, metal feet). They weren't out there a day before the squirrels carted them off and ate them. Not as big a deal as losing a favorite sock or a hand-knitted pot holder (I feel your pain), because a gourd has a limited life-span, anyway, but I felt bad for him. He'd searched for just the right hook-necked gourds. Of course, it was pretty funny when we began to find the partially chewed metal feet around the yard. I guess those didn't pass the squirrel test.
