I don't know if any of you follow figure skating (I used to, but I've fallen behind of late), but I always enjoyed watching Kurt Browning. Since I'm writing a cowboy book right now, I was looking for a cowboy Christmas video to inspire me, but I didn't expect to find one so touching. This tribute to Kurt's cowboy father was uploaded last year.

I don't need to watch it. I've seen it before and enjoyed it.
I will be taping Kurt's annual Stars on Ice show on the CBC channel this Thursday at 9 pm. (Don't know what times/channels you might get, as it IS a Canadian channel. He will probably also be on Festival on Ice Friday night at 9 pm on Global, which is also a Canadian channel.) Kurt always entertains well. One of his best routines (IMHO) is where he is dressed as a clown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BiwsJwepDE), but OMG, you MUST see him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeMRuFYpqEo) where he skates to Dancing in the Rain like Gene Kelly. He did that years ago on his own TV special, and he was awesome!
Elaine, I should have known you would have already seen this (after all, he's a native son). Thank you for the heads up on his other performances. I'll look them up. Sooner or later, they'll show up here somewhere. I've seen his clown routine and the Gene Kelly one (weren't those great?). Also, back in the day, when he and Scott Hamilton did that hockey routine together, that was fun!
Thank you!! This was so very beautiful. It's been a long time since I watched any figure skating.
Mary, I'm glad you enjoyed it. We used to watch a lot of figure skating, but it's been a long time. He's so very talented.
