Sometimes I forget the titles of the books I've read. If you asked me to scribble down all of the books I've read during the last 6 months or even 3 months, I might not be able to. But I do love reading lists of books that other people have read. There's something so energizing about it. All those new books just waiting for me to read, too. So, if you have any great recommendations on your own book list, I'd love to hear them. I'm always on the lookout for the next good book.

It is very interesting to see which books others have read. I always mean to write them down, but never do.
I'm reading the series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE by George RR Martin. It's brilliant.
I have non-fiction lists in alphabetical order by author - one for the books I've already read and one for the books I'd like to read. Once I've read from the second list, I cut/paste them into the first list and reprint once a year or so. I carry these lists with me when going to our local libraries, as well as when visiting my sister, whether she be in Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, or parts unknown, as each hometown has a different library with different books.
As for fiction, that would be my romances. Since blogging, I now photocopy the covers and write down my thoughts on those sheets so that I can pass on the info in the blogs. For example, back on Feb 15/11, I read A BLAZING LITTLE CHRISTMAS - an anthology - and I just loved Kathleen O'Reilly's story called DEAR SANTA... I was in a clinic waiting and waiting to see the doctor, so I read this story quietly in the corner - or at least I started out quietly. I LOL in several areas - which disturbed fellow patients, I might add - and have re-read the story several times since. What was most memorable for me was that I LOL on one page and then I cried four pages later. Amazing stuff. I don't usually share my "negative" comments, but given the probable reasoning, I will this time. The only thing I didn't like about this story was its abrupt ending (to me), and I figure it was because space was extremely limited with it being included in an anthology. Still ... I continue to re-read it ... and just might do so again this morning!
Mary, I always mean to write my books down, too (it would be so helpful later when I'm trying to find something or recommend something), but I rarely remember to (and there's always the possibility that I'll misplace the list in my growing stack of lists).
Elaine, I think of myself as relatively organized, but you would win if we were having a contest. I admire the fact that you keep track of things. The closest I ever came was when I used to keep a folder of book reviews or ads for books I wanted to read.
I've never read anything by Kathleeen O'Reilly. I'll have to look for some of her books.
