Cute video.
We are dog sitting an 11-mth-old golden retriever named Ruby this week. Much as the owner brought us "treats" including raw-hide bones and rope toys, I still went out and bought some Milkbone treats (but am not worried, as the owner provided a continually flowing dog dish of dog food and said it was okay to feed the dog table scraps!).
Ruby wasn't peeing or pooping when she first got here, and when she eventually did, she did so IN our house. We told her "bad dog" and put her in her pen (metal one provided) for a timeout, so to speak. When she eventually DID pee and poop outside, we provided Milkbone treats, which she loves. I think she's learning this power of positive reinforcement bit noted in the video (although we were indeed guilty of reprimanding her when she at first didn't do as expected). Time will tell if it works, as this is the second day of "positive reinforcement" (as the first couple of days there was nothing positive to reinforce, LOL!).

Good luck on your use of positive reinforcement! My son has just been asked to dog sit for about 10 days. I'll pass your info along if he has any problems.
