I know people who can write anywhere (on a train, in an airport, surrounded by people) even when they only have tiny scraps of time. That's never worked for me. I need a chunk of time to think, to plan, to get into the story. All those things (noise, movement, lack of time) distract me and keep me from moving forward.
Plus, as a teacher, I could see how different children reacted differently to their environment in terms of creativity. So, I loved this 2011 video. Such creative kids!
