It's winter in Chicago, and we've had almost no snow. That's not at all normal for this part of the country, and some of us are missing snow, so here are some snowflakes.
DH is out using the snowblower as I type. Got our first "dump" of snow last night and expect more on the weekend. Looks like I'll finally get to toboggan on New Year's Eve with the neighbours! (That's presuming I'm finally over my cold from Dec 17, as I still bark.)
Mary, I totally understand. It's not so much that I'm a big fan of shoveling snow, but it's just wrong for us not to have snow at this time of year. We had a warm winter last year, a drought during the summer and now no snow so far this winter? I want the weather to right itself just for peace of mind.

The snowflakes are beautiful, but I'm happy to have my hot, Qld Christmas.

Elaine, have fun tobogganing! (Hope you're well enough to enjoy the snow)!
