I found this one the other day when I was composing the M. C. Escher post. It's apparently from the St. Pancras Hotel in London and it's so gorgeous. Now I want to go there. (Of course, finding this led me on a search for other hotels. What's below, of course, could be added to again and again. I find hotels fascinating).
The hotel is owned by Marriott now. Here's a link to the history and photos.

I'd be very happy to stay in any of these. Just stunning!!
I would, too. Wouldn't it be glorious to have the time and money to take a great hotels tour?
Here's where we differ. My knees couldn't take all those steps. Sure, there's probably elevators nowadays (indoors), but that defeats the purpose, so to speak. It would be the one time in life when I would utilize the services of a valet for my luggage, though!
Ah, but you could enjoy looking at it, Elaine, while taking the elevator. I'm never going to climb a mountain, but they're so beautiful that I'd be sad if there were none.
Good point. And I DO enjoy looking at them!
I'd be taking the elevator right along with you. LOL But I'd be taking pictures of the staircase.
Just stunning! All the hotels are so luxurious and fabulous. I wish i would stay in one of them. The second pic is so lavishing and classy.
