Beautiful and Interesting Buildings (in this case, hotels)

I love looking at buildings, inside and out. I love real estate open houses, even though it's been years since I've been to one, love those online virtual tours of houses for sale and when I go to estate sales, I spend almost as much time staring at the rooms as I do at the things that are for sale (although I do that, too. Estate sales are great for finding one of a kind items). And as I've mentioned before, I used to buy those magazines filled with building plans for sale (they were great for helping me envision the layout of my characters' houses). So now and then, I just have to post some images of gorgeous buildings (or parts of buildings).

I found this one the other day when I was composing the M. C. Escher post. It's apparently from the St. Pancras Hotel in London and it's so gorgeous. Now I want to go there. (Of course, finding this led me on a search for other hotels. What's below, of course, could be added to again and again. I find hotels fascinating).

I would, too. Wouldn't it be glorious to have the time and money to take a great hotels tour?

Here's where we differ. My knees couldn't take all those steps. Sure, there's probably elevators nowadays (indoors), but that defeats the purpose, so to speak. It would be the one time in life when I would utilize the services of a valet for my luggage, though!

Ah, but you could enjoy looking at it, Elaine, while taking the elevator. I'm never going to climb a mountain, but they're so beautiful that I'd be sad if there were none.

Good point. And I DO enjoy looking at them!

I'd be taking the elevator right along with you. LOL But I'd be taking pictures of the staircase.
