Australia on The Ghan
In Australia, you can travel by rail (North to South) between Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin on The Ghan, (named after Afghan cameleers who used to make the same trip). In this video, Nick Bertke captured the sights and sounds of his train trip and remixed them. There's some beautiful scenery here. It all makes me want to hop on a plane and then a train to experience The Ghan and Australia myself.

I've had a trip on The Ghan on my travel wish list for a while now. Best to see the outback in air conditioned comfort & I love trains.
I love trains, too, but I've never taken a long trip on one. It looks like a lovely experience.
