Wisteria Festival in Japan

You may have seen this elsewhere. I first saw it awhile ago and then on Slate the other day. But these images are so beautiful that I just have to post a few.

I'm not sure that all of the images above are from the Wisteria Festival (or Fuji Matsuri) at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, but aren't they lovely? 

Also, here's a beautiful video of the gardens. It's a bit long, but stay with it for the wisteria tunnels and (later in the video) for the gardens at night. Gorgeous!
