That Was a Fast (But Powerful) Storm!

A storm blew through last night with wind gusts up to 70 mph. The trees were dancing like crazy and we lost the remains of our cherry tree that we planted nearly 30 years ago.

So I was out picking cherries last night. There won't be any more after this. Still, I was grateful that it a)didn't harm our neighbor's new fence, and b)that it wasn't a big tree. Our neighbor about 6 doors down ended up with a big tree on his house.

I'm not sure if you can see it from that photo, but my husband (who got closer than I did) said that it went through the roof.

That is a wild storm. I hope no one was hurt.

We had a very windy storm about three months ago. It ripped into my big trees in the backyard. Massive branches came down. No actual damage. I have my Father to thank for planting them away from the house.

Fortunately, no one was at home at the house where the tree went through the roof. Still, it's going to take some major repair work to fix that hole.
