Fountains, Fountains and More Fountains

Write enough books and patterns begin to emerge. Whether that's good or bad, I don't know, but one of the more minor elements that has appeared in several of my books is the fountain. I suppose that's because I like fountains so much (kind of a duh! statement, I know). And if a person is going to write books, then gosh darn it, one should be able to indulge a bit with favorites now and then.

The fountains in my books are meant to add to the romance (because yes, fountains are romantic), but there are also some real fountains that are just plain awesome, romantic or not.

There's my new personal favorite, the book fountain in Budapest:

And, of course, Chicago's own Buckingham Fountain 

 And the Crown Fountain in Chicago's Millennium Park 

In an earlier post, I covered the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas. Maybe it's the time of year (it's been rather hot here), or maybe it's just the beauty of dancing water, but I'm glad that there are people who are constantly inventing new and more glorious fountains, but even the smallest fountain is a joy to behold.
