Nonfiction Books on My To-Read List

I spent part of today browsing nonfiction books online. Christmas is coming, and my family always, always, always gives books (among other things). There are several nonfiction readers in my family, and although I mostly read fiction, I also like nonfiction, and I often try out a book before I buy a copy to gift. It's a win-win for everyone, the author who sells two books rather than one, the recipient and me since I have a great excuse for spending extra money on books. The books below are some of the ones I'm considering:

Death by Black Hole, Book by Neil deGrasse Tyson

The Three-Year Swim Club book by Julie Checkoway

Packing for Mars, book by Mary Roach

The Matthews Men, book by William Geroux

The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu, book by Joshua Hammer

Walking the Nile, book by Levison Wood

Mawson's Will (a Polar Survival Story by Lennard Bickel)

Do you have any favorite nonfiction books? I'd love to hear what some of them are.

Have a great day!

Myrna

I enjoy non-fiction reads from time to time. One of my favourites would have to be A NIGHT TO REMEMBER by Walter Lord. It's a haunting & chilling account of the Titanic. Just reading through the passenger lists at the end of the book moves me to tears.

Mary, I'll have to check that out. Hearing about the Titanic always makes me so terribly sad. It's just second nature for a person to imagine what it was like being on that ship, isn't it? Such a tremendous loss. Thank you for the recommendation.
