But I digress. The fact is that while I can't tap dance myself, I love watching people who can. Here Broadway dancer Christoper Rice gathers some of his dancer friends and colleagues and dances to the song "Cups." I thoroughly enjoyed it and even watched it twice! I hope you enjoy it, too.

Just a Fun Tap Dance Video
I never took tap dancing lessons (I'm sure dance instructors everywhere are grateful, since I'm a bit of a klutz. I'm always the one in the back of an aerobics class who is on the wrong step. Let's not even discuss that whole business of starting on the wrong foot during a grapevine).

Sutton Foster in Rehearsal of Anything Goes
I may have said this before (somewhere, anyway, if not here), but I'm a fan of the TV show Bunheads starring Tony award winner Sutton Foster. The show is through for the season (still waiting to see if it gets renewed), so here's a bit of Sutton Foster in rehearsals to fill the empty Bunheads space.

Fred Astaire Dancing on the Ceiling (Again)
No surprises here, but it was sort of fun to see the two images side by side (for the record, according to the YouTube description, there is no real documentation of this filming, but Stanley Donen, who filmed this in 1951, recreated the effect with Lionel Richie in "Dancing on the Ceiling" in 1986).
Here's the documentation of the Lionel Richie song (at almost 10 minutes, it's a bit longer than what I usually post).

A Most Special Wedding Dance
Keep some tissues handy while you're watching this. It's sweet and sad (but also says something wonderfully positive about family). The bride's father passed away from pancreatic cancer a few months before the wedding, so her brother recorded the song Butterfly Kisses, and her grandfather, brothers and father-in-law danced the father/daughter dance with her.

Klingon Style
I assume that you're all aware of the Gangnam Style video that's been trending for weeks (if not, here's the original video by PSY, who has been appearing everywhere lately, including Saturday Night Live). Now, Comediva has produced Klingon Style for Trekkies.

We Are the World (Where the Hell is Matt? 2012)
I'm sure you've seen some of the Where the Hell is Matt? videos. This one is especially nice (love the ending). The fact that (as one person in the comments said), these videos point out the "We are one world" message is wonderful. Dance, music (and clearly Matt in this case) can help us find common ground. Lovely.

Awesome Marriage Proposal
Being a romance writer and having blogged about weddings and marriage for an entire year back when my fellow writers and I were writing The Wedding Planners series, I've seen a lot of marriage proposal videos. This is one of the very best. Here's the setup from the YouTube page (in the groom's words):
On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012, I told my girlfriend to meet me at my parent's house for dinner. When she arrived I had stationed my brother to sit her in the back of an open Honda CRV and give her some headphones. He "wanted to play her a song"...
What she got instead was the world's first Live Lip-Dub Proposal.

Who Knew That Tap Dancing Could Look So Contemporary? (Not to Mention Totally Awesome)!
According to the YouTube entry, Taptronic is "a progressive fusion of Irish dance and electronic music." Here, in their premier video (which features a remix of "Crave You" by Flight Facilities), they hit one out of the park.

Everyday I'm Jugglin'
Even if you're not into juggling, you have to give this guy credit. He can juggle and dance at the same time. Pretty awesome. (Note: It's been around a couple of weeks, so apologies if you've already seen it).
And if you are into juggling, here's a bit more by David Ferman who has won gold medals for most balls juggled at the World Juggling Federation.

Groom Surprising His Bride with a Dance
I saw this yesterday and almost posted it (but didn't). Within the space of a day it went viral big time (so yes, you may have already seen it). I'm always amazed at how quickly this happens. Even if you're not a Bieber fan, you have to admit that this guy does a decent job dancing.

Flash Mobs Galore
I confess to being a flash mob fan (I so want to actually witness one of these things). Here's one of my favorite flash mob videos from last year:
An old favorite and one of the best I've seen (maybe because it was before people really knew that much about flash mobs):
And then, of course, the classic T-mobile ad that took place in the Liverpool Street Station. I especially love the true commuters who opted to join in:
What other flash mobs have you seen? And what's your favorite?
Dancing off to work. Enjoy your day!
