Words Matter

If you're a reader or a writer, then you already know how powerful words are and that the way you say things can make a difference. Here's a video that illustrates that point beautifully. (via Presurfer)

May all your words today be meaningful and bring joy into your life.

Best Wishes,

You're reminding me of the power of capitals, punctuation, grammar, etc. An example was recently sent to me showing how important capitals can be in a sentence. For example, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse" versus "I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse". Quite a difference in meaning, right?

Elaine, oh, that was bad, but you know, typing fast (or texting), I could actually see that mistake being made. LOL

I think my "take away" from this video is to really think about how I say things, to decide if there's a better way. And I do that when I'm writing, but not always when I'm speaking. Too often in life we don't get a redo.

I am not graceful when it comes to words... sometimes I can not get what I want to say to come out right...
thanks for sharing that video!

Colleen, don't you hate those "why couldn't I think of that when I wanted it" moments? I always wish I could be one of those people who can just toss out the right replies quickly, but I'm always thinking of the good lines after the fact. I guess that's part of why I love writing. It gives me time to come up with the words.
