Writing Tip for June 17th, 2011:
If the writing isn't going well (and you're beating your head against the wall, hoping that will jar the words loose), try something less violent (and more likely to work): if you have another computer, switch your work area. I sometimes find that simply changing my location (a different wall I can ponder) gives me a new perspective, and sometimes that's all that's needed to prod my stingy sub-conscious to give up the words I need and to get things rolling along again.
Happy Writing!

What? I beat marybelle to comment? What's up with that? LOL.
When I write poetry, I find that being a passenger in a car works wonders. The words just flow. Mind you, I don't write as many words as in a book, so I can just handwrite them ... but still ... whatever works!

Elaine, I envy you being able to write as a passenger in a car. If I read in a car for more than the few minutes it takes to look at a map, I get dizzy. But I do occasionally do some minor brainstorming and scribble ideas down (quickly). And yes, definitely whatever works! I agree completely.
I think Mary is in an earlier time zone. I schedule the posts to go live at 1 AM Central Daylight time (I love knowing that it posts while I'm sleeping away), but the extra ones I posted today I just published as I wrote them. So, it was probably the middle of the night there.
I am in Australia. So, I am often the first at my favourite sites. Today, my son got the computer & would not let go.

I hate it when that happens, marybelle! Actually, it would be when my HUSBAND gets the computer and just has to play Free Cell! (My son and daughter are both in their early twenties now and have their own computers.)
Laney4 (who is really frustrated that Google Blogger won't show Laney4 anymore, even though I have unsubscribed and resubscribed to no avail)
LOL on having to fight for your computer! Mine is upstairs, but my husband has one in the dining room (strange place, I know) and usually I'm the one who has to be kicked off (so he can play free cell, Elaine). :-)
Elaine, the problem you're having is a known issue on Blogger. Here's the link to the discussion with possible workarounds while they're fixing things (very slowly fixing things). I hope you find something here that will help you. http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/blogger/thread?tid=0d5145dc572b8489&hl=en
Myrna, if you were a LOT closer, I'd kiss you!
Thanks to you, I went to that web site, I cleared my cookies and internet history, I rebooted, I tried logging in by unticking the "remain signed in" box, and voila, Laney4 is baaaack!
I think I love you (or is that The Partridge Family, LOL)!
Have a great Father's Day tomorrow. I know you're not my father (nor am I Luke Skywalker), but I'll be thinking good thoughts of you!
Elaine, I'm so glad you're back up and running. Aren't those Help Forums great? There's always someone who has the same problem and usually someone who has the answers, too?
(So glad I'm not Vader...even though he's a fantastic villain! You have a great Father's Day, too).
