Some of Us Are Not Very Domestic

I'm not an especially accomplished cook, but yesterday I made raisin bread. Delicious raisin bread! It was from the Artisan Bread in Five site (which uses a basic recipe from the Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day book, which I own and now love,,,and which I talked about earlier). It makes me, a person who has never been able to make a decent loaf of bread, look good. And with almost no effort at all. I'm not sure what the secret is (okay, I do. The book explains why the authors are able to make things so simple and easy). But from my perspective, and with my history of disappointing loaves of bread, this just feels like magic!

Also, my apologies for the somewhat blurry photo. Maybe I need to work on my photography skills next!

It looks delicious. I'd eat it in a heart beat.

Thank you! I think I've decided that raisin bread may not be my best bet. I keep stealing a slice, and I don't need the extra calories!
