A Nature Horror Story?
I saw this in several places today, so you might have seen it, too. Watch as this entire stand of trees in Assumption Parish, Louisiana is swallowed by a sink hole. Wow! Just wow. This looks like something that might show up in a novel or a movie, and yet...real life. Proof once again that nature is amazing and awesome and not to be taken lightly.

I did see this. There seem to be a lot of sink-hole stories around lately. Kind of scary.
Yes, not knowing when the ground is going to disappear beneath you is pretty frightening (not that I sit around thinking about that possibility, but the fact that it happens at all astounds me).
I too saw it. Scared the bejeebers out of me.
Don't know of any sinkholes near me. Thank God.
I was thinking that there weren't any near me, either, but then I remembered a car that sank in Chicago this year (although that might have had more to do with the way things had been built in that area. Not sure).
