Okay, I'm always buying books. I can forego buying almost everything (obviously not food or gas when my car is empty), but books are my one compulsive buy. That means I always have something to read, many more books than I can get to quickly, but that's okay. I like having choices. So below I've listed a few of the books I've bought within the past 6 months or so. I'm not listing too many of the romances, and for today I'm sticking to listing a couple of historical romances, no contemporary even though I've bought many of those, too.
By the way, I'm not necessarily recommending these books. Although some are by favorite authors, I haven't read all or nearly all of them. They're simply books that I find intriguing. Plus, a couple of them I bought at a library sale. They're totally new-to-me authors, but if I like their work, next time I'll buy them new.
And...just a couple of the romances
So what's on your bookshelf waiting to be read?

I'm adding busily to my own list. All of the books I have bought lately are for my daughter. She just had a birthday. I will read them - of course.
Mary, sharing books is so much fun, isn't it?
Only one new book left in my pile (Heidi Rice's MAID OF DISHONOR) - it will be my first "Kiss" book.
The rest are older books from my long-ago collection that I am FINALLY getting around to reading.
I've been pushing myself to read at least one book a day lately (not like it's a sacrifice for me, haha). Such a joy. Total bliss....
Elaine, a book a day? I am in awe. I've always been an avid reader, but I haven"t managed that yet (at least not often).
